Our latest adventure was when me and the boys took a trip to Alaska for a month! Dad had to stay home and work... darn! But while we were in Alaska, we had lots of fun being on the farm. Josh enjoyed playing with his cousin Taylor, and they would play outside ALL DAY LONG! They loved to pet the horses, jump on the tramp, swing, ride bikes and MORE!!! Caleb had fun playing with his cousin Cole, and they poked at each other's eyes, put fingers in each other's mouths, bit fingers, climbed stairs, and ate lots of pinecones and dirt. (that's what life as a one-year old is like, right?) And we also got to meet our newest cousin/nephew... Canyen! He was a couple weeks old when we got there, and just as cute as can be! Unfortuneately for him, he was the smallest of the 5 grandkids, and sometimes got lost in the shuffle! But he sure was fun!
One of the highlights of our trip was on the 4th of July, where we had a big family picnic/BBQ complete with an exciting game of whiffleball! The "players" (all the kids) ranged in age from 4-28 and hit grounders, fly balls and even a few home runs! The "fans" (all the adults) lined the field cheering and even did the wave! We had a fun time and loved spending time with all the extended family... grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins! Love ya!
And special thanks and appreciation to Mom and Dad for taking care of us for a month, and making every second of our stay relaxing and enjoyable and just plain wonderful!!... and also to NaDene, Taylor, Cole, Tyler, ShaLene and Canyen for taking time to visit us EVERY DAY while we were there! We had a wonderful time and we love and miss you all!!!
